Video on your Web site enhances the news you deliver, and, in many markets, video is a commercial necessity. Whether you’re new to video or are already producing video for the Web, you’ll get the guidance you need about the latest techniques to compress and deliver video to the Web.

This is an entry level course for those who have to shoot and encode Flash video for streaming or progressive delivery.

What Will I Learn:
  • An overview of video formats and players
  • Critical streaming concepts such as bandwidth, streaming vs. progressive delivery, resolution and data rate
  • Producing video for Flash and selecting a Flash encoder
Who Should Take this Course:

This course is for those new to producing and compressing video, especially for Flash.

Course Instructor:

Jan Ozer

Jan Ozer is the author of Producing Streaming Video for Multiple Screen Delivery, which was published in April 2013. Jan produces live and on-demand streaming events for a variety of clients and consults widely on encoding-related topics. He has taught course in video and streaming production since 1994.

Jan is a contributing editor to Streaming Media Magazine and blogs extensively for other outlets. He has written or co-authored more than 15 books on digital-video related topics.
