  • Journalism Fundamentals: Craft & Values: In this course, you'll learn the foundational concepts for reporting, writing, editing and producing multimedia. (two to three hours to complete)

  • Ethics of Journalism: This course is designed to give you the techniques and tools you need to confront complex and complicated ethical issues, make difficult decisions and support those decisions with clear and rational thought. (two to three hours to complete)

  • Getting It Right: Accuracy and Verification in the Digital Age: Nothing does more to damage a media organization's credibility than publishing inaccurate information as if it is fact! By the end of the course, participants will gain an appreciation for the challenges of verifying information in a networked world and an understanding of how best to do so. (two to three hours to complete)

How Certificates Work:
  • Each assessment contains about 15-20 multiple-choice and true-false questions
  • You must score at least 80 percent to pass each assessment
  • You'll get three chances to pass each assessment
  • You'll have 30 minutes to complete each assessment
  • When you pass all the assessments, you will receive your certificate
