Judy Robinson

Judy Robinson is an assistant professor in the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida where she teaches technology-based courses.

Previously she was the senior instructional designer for UF’s Center for Instructional Technology and Training, helping faculty and other clients create online course content. Robinson regularly teaches hands-on technology sessions at the Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association convention.

Robinson previously taught in the Educational Research Technology and Leadership Department at the University of Central Florida, teaching pre-service teachers and graduate courses in educational design.

She also was a high school English and media teacher and publication adviser in Ontario. Her interest in technology started when she programmed her first computer game when she was in the ninth grade.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in education and an honours bachelor degree in English from the University of Western Ontario, and a master’s degree and doctorate in mass communications from the University of Florida.
