Knight Center for Specialized Journalism

The Knight Center for Specialized Journalism provided free in-depth training seminars for print, broadcast and online reporters, editors and editorial writers for 22 years before closing in December 2009.

More than 2,700 fellowships were awarded to journalists from nearly 500 news organizations in subjects such as law, health, science, society, demographics and national and international affairs while the Center -- funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation -- was in existence.
