Sheryl Swingley

Sheryl Swingley teaches journalistic and public relations writing, media editing and special topics and immersive learning (travel/tourism/food and science writing) courses.

Prior to teaching at Ball State, Swingley worked in health care public relations and marketing for almost 12 years. Two of the three hospitals she worked at were teaching hospitals and were in the top 5 percent of hospitals for bed size nationally. During those years, she won numerous state, regional and national awards for public relations writing and campaigns.
